When you are drowning you need a lifeguard not a swim coach. Having a swim coach before that point may have reduced the risk of needing the lifeguard in the first place.
Think of a doctor as a lifeguard and CrossFit coaches as swim instructors. If you have a life threatening issue from chronic disease or broke a bone from falling you need a doctor. If you want to help prevent chronic disease, increase bone density, and leg strength you need a CrossFit coach.
Building a base of fitness around good nutrition and increased work capacity will help create hedges against sickness. Chronic diseases are one of the leading causes of death, which include obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and more. CrossFit has the prescription to help prevent these diseases.
