The gym is a blast. We get to workout hard with our friends, be silly, release some tension, and have fun everyday. We want to be healthier and fitter so we spend a lot of time at the gym and in the kitchen.
All of that health and fitness should have other outlets besides the daily workout and carrying that fifty pound bag of dog food like a BOSS.
Getting outside and trying new sports and activities is a wonderful expression of what we do in the gym everyday. Disc golf, volleyball, spike ball, rock climbing, rope courses, swimming, tubing, ultimate frisbee, etc.
Get out and about this summer and make sure to bring your friends along for the ride. It is always more fun with the crew!
Fitness in 100 Words Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc., hard and fast. Five or six days per week, mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
