I don't do much outside of work except the gym and gym events like this, so it's pretty valuable time for me. Just the fact that we do stuff like this is awesome, but the group of people we have makes these get-togethers really special.
Thanks to Krista and Berek for turning a gym membership into a family membership, to Paul and Sue for being amazing hosts and to all you bad ass mo-fo's for being who you are.
Cheers! 🍻 -pv

I want to thank you and each member in class for an unforgettable experience. I came from a background of ballet and high school cheerleading, both of which never involved weights or sweating too much. Before starting CrossFit I was hesitant, nervous I would not be accepted into the "family," nor would I be able to execute the work out properly. Equity was so welcoming and enthusiastic that once I stepped through the doors, I was no longer intimidated. To walk into a room full of funny, kind, and MOTIVATED people saying "good morning Marianne" was the best way to start my day.

8/9 on the muscle ups today man. First time doing them in a WOD. Pretty stoked about that. Really appreciate all the coaching.

So I looked at some data.
My resting heart rate has dropped from 60-88 BPM in January to 52-71 BPM in May. Walking average heart rate 86-1155 BPM in January to 70-120 BPM in May.
Not to mention the 35 pounds that is now gone from my frame.

Working out at a hotel gets the job done but there is nothing like our gym and our peeps screaming and heckling one another all class. Man I miss it!!!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone in the gym, from the novice athlete to the most experienced ones to the coaches. This is not only from a performance standpoint, but a social standpoint. The fact of asking someone you don’t know to do a competition or go for a walk or do accesory exercises or an invitation to social events, is priceless. It does not matter my mood when I walk in, what matters is the smile I have in my face when I leave.
